At the end of last month, I adventured down to London to meet my mum for the day. Being at university in Manchester, whilst my mum’s back home on the south coast, we hadn’t seen each other in a while and decided to meet in the middle, in London. Being one of my favourite city’s, after Manchester obviously, I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit again.
Both being a lover of taking photo’s, we started off with an amble towards Covent Garden, taking in the city’s beauty and landmarks as we strolled. The weather started off grey and rainy, but made for some moody skies. Luckily it had cheered up by the time by the afternoon.
During our meander we popped into a few shops. The Japan Centre was particularity interesting, but my favourite was definitely the Nickelodeon Store. And now I’m totally obsessed with this picture of me and Spongebob. We also went for lunch at Bills, which was delicious and I’ll definitely be taking a trip down to the one down at the Trafford Centre some when soon. After stuffing our faces, and being bored of the cold damp weather (and coming up with a future Business plan, a chain of ‘Nap Cafes’), we decided to head off to the imperial war museum.
As we headed off towards the imperial war museum, we took to the tubes, finding an empty tube station. A rarity in the hustle and bustle of London town. Both being budding photographer’s we quickly got our cameras out for a quick snap, before continuing on our way to the Museum.
After the museum, which was both beautiful and moving, we headed back towards the trains, not after one final stroll with our camera’s through night time London though. It really was a very lovely day and escape from the drama and stress that we call university.
